At the Urban Montessori Laughs for Learning comedy night/auction on March 19, amazing items and experiences (described below) will be available for auction. But you can have a chance to win one of these items by purchasing a raffle ticket. For $100 you could win a prize worth up to $3000. You do not need to be present at the Laughs for Learning event to claim your prize!

One lucky winner will get to choose between these six prizes:

Private S.F Ballet Chamber Orchestra Concert and Catered Dinner: Host a private chamber music concert and gourmet meal. Members of the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra will perform a private concert in the location of your choosing while enjoying a multi-course dinner prepared by a professional chef whose previous jobs included the kitchen at Oliveto.

Kondabolu has performed on the Late Show with David LettermanConan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and John Oliver’s New York Standup Show, plus in his own Comedy Central Presents half-hour television special. He was also a writer and correspondent for the Chris Rock-produced Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell on FX. A regular on the public radio circuit, he has appeared on Morning Edition, All Things Considered, Studio 360, Bullseye and Soundcheck. He has also appeared on popular podcasts including WTF with Marc Maron, You Made it Weird with Pete Holmes and Too Beautiful to Live with Luke Burbank. A former immigrant-rights organizer in Seattle, Hari earned a Masters in Human Rights from the London School of Economics in 2008. In the UK, he has established himself with appearances on BBC 3’s Russell Howard’s Good News, Live at the Electric, and Channel 4’s “8 out 10 Cats.”

About J.R. Havlan: J.R. Havlan is a proud father and uncle to a small band of happy and curious Montessori students, and he is returning this year to once again emcee Urban Montessori Charter School’s annual fundraiser. J.R. spent the last 18 years writing for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart where he won 8 Emmy Awards and contributed to the show’s two best selling books, America: The Book and Earth: The Book. J.R. also wrote for the Academy Awards in 2006 and 2008 and has performed stand-up comedy on both The Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.
