Today we met with Moyra Contreras, Principal at MLA and Sonali Murarka, Director of the OUSD Charter Office.  We established that we are all committed to working together to do what is best for all Oakland students. We also acknowledged that MLA is working from a place that their expansion to the Brann Campus is final. UMCS is not working from that place.  That aside, we will stay committed to a collaborative relationship going forward.

We will be working with Sonali during the month of February to accomplish the following:

Site Visits at Parker & Frick Campuses

Solidifying the actual number of classrooms offered and the placement of those classrooms.

What could a multi year agreement be so we can provide stability for the UMCS community.

Hoy nos reunimos con Moyra Contreras, Directora de MLA y Sonali Murarka, Directora de la Oficina de Charter de OUSD. Establecimos que todos estamos comprometidos a trabajar juntos para hacer lo mejor para todos los estudiantes de Oakland. También reconocimos que MLA está trabajando desde un lugar donde su expansión al Campus Brann es definitiva. UMCS no está trabajando desde ese lugar. Aparte de eso, seguiremos comprometidos con una relación de colaboración en el futuro.

Solidificación del número real de aulas ofrecidas y la ubicación de esas aulas.

¿Qué podría ser un acuerdo de varios años para que podamos brindar estabilidad a la comunidad de UMCS?
